The fifth annual Farm-a-Q will take place this year on Sunday, June 26th at Heron Pond Farm in South Hampton NH. A joint effort of Slow Food Seacoast and the Heirloom Harvest Project, Farm-a-Q is a picnic-style event with a bounty of heirloom and heritage foods grown on local farms and prepared by some of the area's best restaurants. The afternoon features an incredible buffet, showcasing the abundance of delicious locally grown products and the talent of local chefs.

This year's participating restaurants include another incredible line up: Anju, Black Birch, Black Trumpet, Earth’s Harvest Cafe, Embers Bakery, The Foundry, Jumping Jay’s Fish Cafe, Lexie’s Joint, Moxy,, Tinos Greek Kitchen, 3 Brothers Marketplace, Vida Cantina, When Pigs Fly Pizzeria and Wolf Meadow Farm.

The day will feature tastings, demonstrations of brick oven bread baking, a Slow Fish under-loved fish throw-down, live music, children's nature-based activities, tabling by numerous local community organizations, and best of all, the amazing locally grown, picnic-style meal prepared by our even more amazing local chefs!

Heron Pond Farm is our host for Farm-a-Q 2016. Owned and operated by Greg Balog and Andre Cantelmo, Heron Pond is a four season farm that grows over 250 varieties of vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers. They run a CSA and a farm stand as well as selling at local farmers markets.

Farm-a-Q runs from 12:00 – 4:00 pm with food served between 1:00 – 3:00. Enjoy workshops, live music and activities all afternoon. Tickets are $30 for adults or $25 for Slow Food and Heron Pond CSA members. Youth pay $15 (ages 13 – 20) and children aged 3-12 are $5 (children under 3 are free).
